About LoansForChristmas
LoansForChristmas is a free lender-matching service. You send one short holiday loan request for $500 to $35,000, and we pass it to lenders in our network that may make you an offer. We aren't a lender and we don't make credit decisions. Below is what we do, what we leave to lenders and how we get paid.
Why This Service Exists
The holidays pack a lot of spending into a few weeks. Gifts, travel to see family and hosting all fall in December, often alongside a bigger heating bill or a car repair that can't wait until January. For a lot of households the money is there over a few months, just not all at once.
Looking for a loan in the middle of that usually means typing the same details into one site after another. We built LoansForChristmas so you can fill in one short request instead and find out whether lenders in our network may make you an offer.
What We Do
LoansForChristmas is a lender-matching service. You choose an amount from $500 to $35,000 and answer a few questions on our secure form, and we pass your request to the lenders and lending partners in our network. A lender that may be able to help can then show you an offer with its rate, fees and repayment term. You read it and decide, and you don't have to accept anything.
We are not a lender. LoansForChristmas (the "Website") is not an offer or solicitation to lend. The Website is not a lender, a broker, or an agent or representative of any lender, and it does not make loans or credit decisions. The Website collects the information you provide and forwards it to lenders and partners in our network. We don't charge you for using this service, and you're under no obligation to use it or to accept any offer. Loan amounts range from $500 to $35,000, and not all lenders offer the maximum. Submitting a request is not a promise of approval, or of a specific rate, term or amount. Transfer times vary by lender and by your bank.
What We Don't Do
We don't lend money and we don't make credit decisions. Each lender reviews your request under its own rules and decides whether to approve it, how much to offer and on what terms. We can't change an offer or hurry a decision along.
We don't charge you, either. Sending a request is free, and we add no fees or interest to any loan. Once you accept a loan, the lender runs the account, so questions about payments, balances or the agreement go to the lender named in it.
How We Make Money
You don't pay us for this service. LoansForChristmas may receive compensation from lenders or lending partners when a request is matched or funded. This compensation may affect which lenders appear in our network and how requests are routed. It does not change what you pay a lender. Our Disclosures page sets out the full arrangement.
How We Handle Your Information
When you send a request, we share what you entered with lenders and lending partners in our network so they can decide whether to make you an offer. We also work with service providers who help us run the site. The form sends your details over a connection protected by 256-bit SSL encryption.
Sending a request also means lenders and partners may contact you about it by phone, text or email. You can ask us to stop messages through our Contact page and opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information on Your Privacy Choices. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and who receives it.
Who We Serve
To use this service you must be a U.S. resident and at least 18 years old, and you must meet the requirements of the lenders in our network. The content on this Website is general information, not financial, legal or tax advice, and any figures shown are examples, not offers.
Lenders in our network consider a wide range of credit profiles, from limited credit history to excellent, though each lender sets its own requirements and not every applicant will qualify. Lenders don't operate in every state either, so the offers you may see depend on where you live.
Our Standards
We'd rather you understand a loan before you take one, so we hold this site to a few rules.
- Costs stay in plain view. The APR range and repayment terms sit directly under the request button on our home page, and our Loan Rates & Fees page works through examples with the fees and the total repaid.
- We say "may" when the answer depends on the lender, which is most of the time.
- We don't promise approval, a rate, an amount or a funding time, because only a lender can decide those.
- We explain the downsides too, such as what a late payment or an extension can cost.
- We use plain words, and when we need a loan term like APR, we explain it.
If you find something on the site that's unclear or wrong, tell us and we'll fix it.
Get in Touch
Email us at [email protected] or use the form on our Contact page. A person on our team reads every message and replies by email. We don't run a phone line.
Our mailing address is LoansForChristmas, 925 N La Brea Ave 4th floor, Los Angeles, CA 90038.
We can explain how a request works and help with your privacy choices. We can't make lending decisions or look up an account you hold with a lender, so questions about a loan you've accepted go to the lender named in your loan agreement.
We Do the Matching. You Make the Call.
